Page rank is simply a by product of links leading back to your site, The more you have and the more relevant they are to your website the higher page rank you will have.

A final note page rank is not as important in determining how well your website is ranked in the search engines as it used to be.

Although it still is important to have a high page rank it simply does not carry the weight it once had.
